Dr. Lewis was featured in the 12/12/23 edition of the NY Times. “New Drugs Can Fix Teenage Obesity, but Young People Don’t Get Them” Although these medications seem to be the answer to obesity and curbing appetites, they are very new, have not been studied for extended periods of time. They do not withhold critical therapies from their patients, they want to make sure that the medications are truly safe before prescribing them to patients who are still growing and developing.
